Explain every result
SerialAtlas is deterministic. It does not ask a language model to invent a date. Every candidate identifies the exact characters, matched format, plain-language rule, and confidence.
Source hierarchy
- Official manufacturer documentation and support.
- Structured reference data with clear licensing and provenance.
- Field examples used to test rules and identify gaps.
Conflicting evidence blocks publication or produces an explicit ambiguous result.
Testing and ambiguity
Rules ship with valid examples, invalid-date checks, future-date protection, normalization tests, repeating-cycle cases, and highlighted positions. Material alternatives remain visible.
Indexing policy
A supported alias can work without receiving a search page. Standalone guides require manufacturer-specific context, source attribution, limitations, and useful field guidance.
Review cadence
The target is two reviewed data releases per year, with urgent corrections sooner. Every primary guide displays its verification date.
